المُلخص التنفيذي

الجراكن Jerrycans هي حاويات بلاستيكية خفيفة، مُتوفرة ومُتاحة ويمكن لشخص واحد حملها بسهولة. ويمكن استخدامها للتخزين الآمن للبول أو لنقله عند غلقها بإحكام.

يُمكن جمع البول في الجراكن، أو يمكن ملء الجراكن بالبول المُخزَّن في خزَّان البول بهدف نقله إلى الحقول الزراعية، أو إلى وحدة التخزين المركزية. في الأماكن التي يُشيع فيها استخدام أنظمة فصل البول، يمكن أن تتخصص بعض المشروعات الصغيرة في جمع ونقل الجراكن باستخدام وسائل نقل مختلفة مثل: الدراجات، أو الحمير، أو العربات (التي تُجَر باليد أو التي تَجُرها الدواب)، أو الشاحنات الصغيرة.

 يُعدّ الجركن المُغلق جيدًا وسيلة فعَّالة لنقل البول لمسافات قصيرة؛ وهو غير باهظ الثمن، وسهل التنظيف، وقابلٌ لإعادة الاستخدام. هذا النوع من النقل مناسب فقط للمناطق التي يكون فيها إنتاج البول واستخدامه )أي المنازل والحقول)(قريبة من بعضها البعض. وفي المناطق التي يتمّ فيها إنتاج كميات قليلة نسبيًا من البول، وإلا فإنه من الضروري استخدام نظام أكثر كفاءة للتجميع والتوزيع؛ على سبيل المثال، يمكن للتجمعات السكانية التي تستخدم أنظمة فصل البول أن يلائمها أكثر وجود خزَّان كبير لتخزين البول، حيث يمكن تفريغه بوسائل أكثر تقدمًا، مثل التفريغ والنقل بواسطة المُحركات.

يمكن استخدام الجراكن في البيئات والمناطق الباردة )حيث يتجمد البول )، طالما لا يتم ملؤها كليًا. في الأشهر الأكثر دِفئًا يمكن استخدام البول المخزن عند احتياجه للزراعة.

 

اعتبارات التصميم

يُنتج الشخص في المتوسط ما يقرب من 1.2 لتر من البول في اليوم، ومع ذلك قد تختلف هذه الكمية بشكل كبير اعتمادًا على المناخ واستهلاك السوائل.ومن المتوقّع أن تملأ عائلة مُكونة من 5 أشخاص جركن سعته 20 لترًا من البول خلال 3-4 أيام تقريبًا. ومن الممكن أن يُخزَّن في الموقع أو أن يُنقل على الفور.

إن كانت الجراكن مُتصلة مباشرة بالمِرحاض أو المبولة عن طريق أنبوب، فيجب مراعاة تقليل طوله قدر الإمكان، لأن الرواسب ستتراكم فيه. ويجب أن تكون الأنابيب مائلة بشكل حاد (> 1%)، وخالية من الانعطافات الحادة، وذات أقطار كبيرة، كما يجب أن يَسهُل الوصول إليها في حالة الانسدادات.

ولأن الجراكن تمتلئ سريعًا، وتتطلب أن يتم استبدالها أو تفريغها باستمرار، فيجب استخدام خزَّان كبير للتجميع الأوَّلي للبول؛ وبعد ذلك يُمكن مَلء الجراكن بالبول المُخزن )على سبيل المثال، باستخدام مَضخة صغيرة(، ونقلها إلى الحقول.

 

الجوانب الصحية / القبول

 يتعرض الأشخاص الذين يستبدلون أو يفرغون الجراكن لمخاطر صحية قليلة؛ لأن البول مُعقم بشكل طبيعي. ويُشكِّل حَمل الجراكن أيضًا خطرًا صحيًا ضئيلًا طالما هي مُحكمة الإغلاق. في حين أن حَمل الجراكن ليس بالنشاط المُريح، لكنه ربما أكثر ملاءمة وأقل تكلفة من تفريغ الحُفر.

للبول قيمة اقتصادية في بعض الأماكن، وقد يتم جمعه من المنازل مجانًا، والعائلات التي تستثمر الوقت لنقل واستخدام البول الخاص بهم قد يستفيدون من ذلك بزيادة الإنتاج الزراعي، أو تحسين تغذيتهم )لاستخدامهم أسمدة طبيعية للتربة)و/أو زيادة دخلهم.

يجب غسل الجراكن باستمرار؛ للحد من النمو البكتيري، وتراكم الحمأة والروائح الكريهة. من أجل المخاوف المُتعلقة بالسلامة وصعوبات النقل؛ يجب عدم نقل السوائل الأخرى في جراكن البول )كالمياه السوداء ومياه الصرف الرمادية.(
